How To Give
Brown parents are an amazing group of passionately dedicated friends of the University. Through their generosity of time, energy and resources, they contribute to nearly every aspect of Brown. In the 2006-2007 fiscal year they maintained our position as the largest Parents Annual Fund in the Ivy League. Such incredible giving allows President Simmons and her senior staff the latitude to move Brown forward and continue the important work outlined in the Plan for Academic Enrichment.
Gifts to the Brown Annual Fund have an immediate impact on the living and learning experience at the University. Your donations sustain an environment in which students are free to choose a unique academic path and are encouraged to collaborate with faculty. The countless opportunities to involve themselves in the life of the University and the surrounding community are a direct result of your giving and decision to make Brown a philanthropic priority.
Fundraising highlights from the 2006-2007 fiscal year:
• $4.8 million for the Brown Annual Fund, from more than 7,247 parents
• Over $30 million from parents to all priorities at the University
• 113 gifts of $10,000 or more
Goals for the 2007-2008 fiscal year:
• $5 million for the Brown Annual Fund
• 130 Brown Annual Fund Leaders (gifts of $10,000 or more)
• More than $1 million from the Parents Leadership Council (both personal gifts and outreach)
• Over $20 million for all priorities at the University
