Dear Medical Families,

We hope you had a chance to enjoy the long holiday weekend which marked not only the unofficial start to summer but also several milestones at Warren Alpert Medical School.

Inside Insight

The Offices of Medical Education and Student Affairs continue to provide class updates that can be read in full here. Some of the highlights include:

  • MD’20: Doctor of Medicine degrees were conferred upon this graduating class during the first-ever Virtual Degree Conferral Ceremony on May 24.
  • MD’21: Rising fourth-year students have begun, or soon will begin, to return to their clerkships that were interrupted by the coronavirus outbreak.
  • MD’22: These students have not only been studying for the USMLE Step 1 licensing exam since mid-February, but they also completed the clinical skills clerkship, a transitional clerkship between the second and third year.
  • MD’23: These students finished their first year of medical school and, despite COVID-related changes, will move forward with research and other plans they have for this summer.
