February 2020

Hello Medical Families!

With the exceptionally mild winter we are experiencing in Providence, spring is in the air!

Inside Insight
At this point in the academic year, medical students are in various locations:

  • First-year students have completed two of three blocks in the study of the brain sciences organ system – neuroanatomy and neurological diseases. They are finishing up the block with a focus on psychology.
  • Second-year students are studying for Step 1 of the United States Medical Licensing Examination. Some are still here in Providence; others have gone home to prepare for this important exam.
  • Fourth-year students are just three weeks away from Match Day, when they find out where they have placed for residency! Though they may be a bit distracted awaiting that news, many are taking electives here and abroad, others are traveling and catching up with family.
