As we celebrate the fiscal midpoint of the BrownTogether Campaign, I am energized by the progress we have made. We recently announced a $50 million gift from Chancellor Samuel M. Mencoff ’78 and his wife, Ann S. Mencoff, that will transform biomedical research and discovery into treatments and cures for disease. We are also celebrating an anonymous gift to initiate a program in Alzheimer’s and neurodegenerative diseases. These gifts enable us to move the Brown Institute for Translational Science a few critical steps forward with the recruitment of new faculty and leadership, and are a powerful show of support for team science at Brown. Read on to learn about other exciting collaborations at the Medical School.
