Dear Brown Parents,
You are our best ambassadors: you attend and host events, help create internships and job opportunities, suggest speakers, cheer at games, attend visual and performing art events on campus, and support Brown students and faculty through your philanthropy, among many other things. You have also raised exceptional children who are the essence of Brown’s rich, fascinating, lively, and vital community.
This newsletter is intended just for you. We hope to distribute issues to you at least three times a year and include relevant stories and information about our students and faculty, messages from the Deans, updates on the Parents Annual Fund and Parents Athletics Fund efforts, along with fun facts about Brown. Please let us know what information you would like to see in future issues in order to make this newsletter of greatest value to you.
As always, this fall has passed by breathtakingly fast. On behalf of my team and the University, best wishes to you and your family for a deeply joyous holiday season.

Warmest regards,
Anne L. Carlson

Parents Annual Fund
- The Brown Parents Annual Fund provides essential resources that help fully-fund scholarship, faculty salary and benefits, and an array of programs that directly impact students.
- Brown has one of the most successful Parents Annual Funds in the country thanks to the generosity of our parent constituency. Last year, Brown parents contributed $7.2 million to the Parents Fund, which accounted for 20% of the total dollars raised for the Annual Fund.
