Events and programs held throughout the year are paying tribute to the generations of inspiring Brunonian women who have driven societal change and made a difference in the world. Join in now:

We encourage you to tap into these opportunities and the many other ways there are to get involved with the Brown community — whether that’s by shared identity, interest, or class year. Read on for more ideas on reconnecting with Brown this spring.

The magic was back for Match Day 2022

On March 18, Brown’s graduating medical students ripped open their red envelopes and discovered where they’ve matched for residency. It’s a day full of heightened emotions, so we asked an alumna and a student to share their feelings about this milestone event in their medical careers.

Dr. Jill M. Baren ’83 will become the next president of Lake Forest College, making her the first woman to fill the role in the college’s 164 year history.

Betsy West ’73, P’17 co-directed a new documentary about the little-known civil rights trailblazer Pauli Murray.

George Braly ’70, the aerospace engineer who developed a method of removing lead from airplane fuel, is flying us all towards a cleaner and safer future together.

Two-time Primetime Emmy winner Ellen Kuras ’81 will be the first woman recipient of the American Society of Cinematographers Lifetime Achievement Award.
