February 2024: Upcoming Events // What’s New // Watch. Listen. Learn. // Brunonians in Focus // Campus News // As Seen on Social // Featured Opportunity

Dear Brown Alumni,

It has been wonderful seeing so many of you on campus and around the globe these last few weeks. From alumni events in Atlanta, London, and Paris, to meetings on campus of the Brown Alumni Association Board of Governors and other alumni groups, it has been a great reminder of the diverse experiences represented in our alumni body.

Members of our community have also shared a desire to know more about what is happening on campus. To that end, I wanted to pass along this recent communication from President Christina H. Paxson that was sent to students, faculty, and staff discussing the work being done on campus to strengthen the Brown community amid conflict. As President Paxson underscored, everything we do is aimed at securing the safety and well-being of our community members, upholding the core academic values of the University, and cultivating a caring and supportive community. I hope you’ll take a moment to read this letter.

There are many exciting program updates and launches happening within our alumni community. Here are a few important items to put on your radar:

  • Reunion 2024 will be here before you know it! Recent grads, as well as alumni from classes ending in 4 and 9, are invited to an incredible weekend on College Hill and will be receiving more information in the coming weeks and months ahead.
  • Also launching today, alumni trustee elections! Watch your inbox for more information and your link to vote.
  • Join our newly launched Lifelong Learning program for ways to stay intellectually connected through Brown.
  • A shout out to the Brown Alumni Pride Association. They have been hosting wonderful events and are always looking for more alumni to join them. If you’re interested but are not yet connected, go to their website to learn more, sign up for their newsletter, and follow their social channels.
  • Check out all the amazing work that is happening and forthcoming within the inaugural Brown Arts IGNITE Series, including evolving collaborations with local artists and arts organizations.

I look forward to seeing you and hearing from you throughout the spring, and I hope to welcome you home to campus soon.

Ever True,

Zack Langway ’09, Vice President for Alumni Relations
