Dear Brown Alumni,
It was such a pleasure to welcome you home for Campus Dance, Reunion, and the Commencement Procession. Connecting with friends old and new—and across the generations—always makes this weekend joyful. It was especially fun to celebrate my own 15th Reunion with all of you who were back to celebrate your own milestones!
Beyond taking part in my favorite annual Brown tradition, it has been wonderful connecting with fellow alumni on campus and across the globe these last few months. From California to Hawaii to London, I’ve loved seeing your enthusiasm for Brown’s new alumni communities, programs, and initiatives, and hearing more about how you want to engage with our amazing Brunonian community. One of my favorite stops was San Francisco for the first Volunteer Summit held on the West Coast, where we immersed 110+ volunteer leaders in the latest happenings on campus, shared our newest program and community offerings, and engaged in a workshop on fostering belonging. We also honored the volunteers who keep our community strong.
Warmly,
Zack Langway ’09, Vice President for Alumni Relations
P.S. Interested in traveling with me to a very cool place? Check out our upcoming “Pillars of Pride” trip. This first-of-its-kind, nine-day cruise to Greece and Turkey was created specifically for our LGBTQIA+ alumni, allies, and friends. I’m very excited to take part in this new alumni experience!
