A letter from the director

Dear Brown alumni and friends,

Happy New Year! I hope 2020 is off to a great start for you. The first Brown Travelers trip of the year (to Antarctica) is on its way, and we look forward to wishing bon voyage to four more groups of adventurous alumni and faculty in February and March.

2019 was a fantastic year for the Brown Travelers program, and we had many sold-out departures. 2020 is also looking very busy, although there are some trips with space still available. If you are thinking about traveling this spring, I hope you will consider:

  • Holland and Belgium (May 8 – 16, 2020), a cruise from Amsterdam to Bruges. This popular itinerary will take place on the Magnifique III, a new Dutch riverboat with just 20 cabins and suites. Discover the Low Countries’ outstanding art and architecture when colorful flowers are in bloom!
  • Celtic Lands (June 7 – 16, 2020), a cruise from Paris to Glasgow on Le Boréal, one of the Brown Travelers’ favorite ships. On this trip you are accompanied by Dwight David Eisenhower II and Allen Packwood, who will provide lectures as well as personal insights. And if you book by March 15, you can still take advantage of the $1,000 per person “early booking savings!”

The above are just two examples of the many itineraries we are offering; a very exciting year of educational travel lies ahead. If you are interested in Iceland, Tanzania or anything in between, please take a look at our full 2020 schedule.

For more information on any of our 2020 trips, please visit our website or contact our office. I hope you will join us soon on a Brown Travelers educational adventure!
